MARINE INSURANCE when you ship car or vehicle to Sabah and Sarawak
Basically, a registered vehicle must have insurance that is still in force. However, regular car insurance only protects against theft, fire, and accidents. Insurance coverage only on the road.
For shipping by sea, a type of insurance called Marine Insurance MUST be purchased.
Marine Insurance is insurance that protects your vehicle while on board and to your destination. Coverage ranges from the original port to the intended port. Examples from Port Klang to Port Kucing.
THIS MARINE INSURANCE IS ONLY VALID FOR VEHICLE SHIPPING USING BY SHIP ONLY (PORT TO PORT). IT DOES NOT APPLY IN FOR DELIVERY INVOLVING TRANSSHIPMENT (SUCH AS SANDAKAN, LAHAD DATU, TAWAU, SIBU, BINTULU AND MIRI) FROM PORT DISCHARGE.
Our company will offer marine protection through leading insurance companies. Insurance coverage includes:
a) The ship sank
b) Tsunami
c) Fire
d) Inverted Ship
e) Lushing Disconnected
f) Ship collision with jetty / fellow ship
g) Explosion
h) Theft of standard car parts (side mirror, bumper, steering wheel, lights, battery etc)
i) Vehicle accidents in ships.
Payment for marine insurance is based on the market value / price of a vehicle.
Note:
The lowest payment rate to own this Marine Insurance is RM125 even though the market price of the vehicle is less than RM 33,000
Any claim if it occurs is based on the market price of the vehicle.
Goods / Loads / Personal Effects carried by customers such as mobile phones, laptops, coins, Smart Tags and others goods will not be covered by this insurance.
The insurer is not responsible for the loss of car accessories such as turbo meters, extra speakers, subwoofers, cameras, and more. Standard Vehicle Accessories ONLY are covered.
